Number 5 - Titanic (1912):

The RMS Titanic, struck an iceberg on its maiden voyage from Southampton, England, to New York City on April 15, 1912. The ship, often referred to as unsinkable, had insufficient lifeboats for all passengers and crew on board, and as a result, approximately 1,500 people perished in the frigid waters of the North Atlantic Ocean.
